Treating an old problem
Around four in five people experience some form of back pain at some point during their lives. The back is a complex system of vertebrae, other bones and discs and the pain can take many forms.

Back pain can be caused by a variety of activities but typically it can be brought on by straining the muscles, being overweight or having poor posture.

Back pain is called “non-specific” if it goes within a few days, “acute” if it lasts up to six weeks or “chronic” if it lasts longer than three months. Your physiotherapists will design a course of stretches and exercises that are tailored to your symptoms.
